Peer-to-peer marketplace
Whether you need a job done, want to buy something nearby, or have skills and goods to offer — transacting with people you don't know shouldn't require blind trust.
Pact holds payment in escrow until both parties are satisfied. No more chasing payments, no more paying for nothing.
Post what you need or what you offer, agree on a price, and let Pact handle the rest.
Need something done or looking for something specific? Post a Wanted Ad describing what you want and your budget. People nearby apply and you pick the best fit.
Have a skill to offer or something to sell? Post a Classified listing advertising what you offer and your price. Clients find you and reach out directly.
Need something done or looking for something specific? Post what you want, set your budget, and let people come to you.
Describe what you need — a service, a task, or something specific you're looking for — set your budget, and pin it to your location. Your listing appears on the live map for nearby people to find.
Specialists apply with a note and an optional counter-offer. Browse their profiles, ratings, and past work before choosing who to hire.
Select your specialist and seal the Pact. Payment is authorized but not captured — funds are held securely until the work is done. Either party can cancel for free before work begins.
The specialist submits proof of completion. You review and release payment. If you don't act within 48 hours, funds are released automatically.
Leave a rating for your specialist. Build a reputation that helps future clients and specialists trust each other.
Have a skill or something to sell? Post your listing, set your price, and let clients find you.
Advertise what you offer — a service, a skill, or goods — set your price, and pin it to your location. Your listing appears on the live map for nearby clients to discover.
Clients request what you're offering directly. Review their profile and ratings, then accept or decline — you're always in control of who you transact with.
Once you accept, the client seals the Pact. Payment is authorized but not captured — your payout is guaranteed once the work is done. Either party can cancel for free before work begins.
Complete the job and submit proof through the app — a photo, description, or both. Once the client releases payment, funds transfer to your payout account.
Leave a rating for your client. A strong track record attracts more requests and helps you grow your reputation on the platform.
If there's a disagreement on either path, either party can raise a dispute. Pact reviews the evidence and resolves in favour of the specialist (payment released) or the client (full refund issued).
Pact charges a small platform fee on each completed transaction. There are no listing fees, no subscription costs, and no charges if a pact is cancelled before work begins.
A platform fee of 5% + $0.25 applies to both sides of every completed transaction — charged to the client on top of the agreed price as a platform fee, and deducted from the specialist's payout. Card processing is grossed up so the platform absorbs no processing costs. Tax is added where applicable and varies by location.
Card processing fees are estimates based on standard Stripe rates and vary by card type. Tax is calculated at checkout based on the applicable rate for your location. Specialists must connect a payout account via Stripe Express to receive funds. Payout processing fees apply for immediate withdrawals — see the app for current rates.
Yes. Pact is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Don't release the funds. Instead, raise a dispute through the app and submit your evidence. Pact will review both sides and issue a resolution — either releasing payment to the specialist or refunding the full amount to you.
Once the client releases the funds or the 48-hour auto-release window passes after proof submission. Funds are transferred to the specialist's connected Stripe Express payout account. Scheduled payouts process every Friday; immediate payouts are available for a small fee.
Either party can cancel at no cost before proof is submitted. The payment authorization hold is released immediately and no charge is made. Once proof has been submitted, cancellation is no longer available — only release or dispute.
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe — a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Pact never stores card numbers. Payment is authorized at seal time and only captured when the work is confirmed complete.

Either party may cancel a Pact at any time before proof of completion is submitted at no cost. The payment authorization hold is released immediately and no charge is made to the client. Once a specialist has submitted proof of completion, cancellation is no longer available — the client must either release the funds or raise a dispute.
Pact is a marketplace platform and does not itself sell goods or services — all transactions are arranged directly between users. Refunds are issued in the following circumstances:
If a client is unsatisfied with the completed work, either party may raise a dispute through the app before releasing payment. Both parties are required to submit evidence. Pact reviews the evidence and issues one of the following resolutions:
Pact does not directly sell goods or services and has no return policy of its own. Any return or exchange arrangement for physical goods transacted between users is solely between those users. Pact's dispute resolution process covers payment disputes — not physical returns or exchanges.
Arranging payment outside of the Pact platform is strictly prohibited and may result in a permanent ban. Pact's escrow-based payment system exists specifically to protect both parties — bypassing it removes the dispute resolution, refund guarantees, and payment security that the platform is designed to provide. All transactions arranged through Pact must be completed through the app.
The platform may not be used to arrange transactions for goods or services that are illegal under applicable law in the user's jurisdiction. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their listings and activities comply with all applicable laws, including any licensing, permit, or insurance requirements relevant to what they offer. Pact does not facilitate the sale or export of controlled goods, weapons, hazardous materials, or any item subject to US export control regulations (EAR/ITAR).
From time to time Pact may offer promotional credits, fee waivers, or featured listing discounts. All promotions are:
